Link to USCCB Roman Missal changes Tuesday, October 18 Ascension Parish, Overland Park from 7:00 - 9:00 pm The workshops concerning the new Roman Missal have been scheduled throughout the archdiocese thus far. They are free-of-charge and open to anyone interested in the upcoming changes to the liturgy, scheduled to begin November 27 of this year, especially those involved with parish liturgy and liturgical music. These workshops provide an opportunity to learn about the history of liturgical celebrations in the vernacular, the rationale behind the new translation itself, and the meaning and mystery of the Mass as expressed in the rites and music of the eucharistic liturgy of the Roman Rite.

• The Cure' of Ars Bereavement Ministry will have their monthly grief support meeting, Saturday, February 18, in the Father Burak room, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood.  The meeting will begin at 8:30 a m, after the 8 o'clock Mass.  Grief speaker, Mark Fenton, will speak on, "Redefining Normal."  For more information call 913-649-2026.

• An effort has been started to benefit the people of Joplin called “Homecoming for Joplin” and the purpose is to collect items for the house as homes are rebuilt. Church of the Nativity will have a truck in their parking lot Sunday, February 19. Items that can be accepted would be good furniture, new appliances (in their original box), paper products, tools, gardening tools and cleaning supplies. We can not accept clothing. Nothing is too small or insignificant to those who must begin anew.
• Men Under Construction, February 25, at Church of the Ascension. Come spend a day with other men from our archdiocese learning how to better live our faith.  This is a perfect Lenten investment in your spirituality.  Featured speakers include Fr.
